Butch is a common character name appearing in various films and television shows, often embodying a tough or gruff persona. Perhaps the most famous is Butch Coolidge from Quentin Tarantino's 1994 film, Pulp Fiction. Played by Bruce Willis, Butch is a boxer who refuses to throw a fight for Marsellus Wallace. He finds himself in a series of violent and absurd situations after winning the match and going on the run.

Another well-known Butch is the antagonistic neighborhood bully in the Our Gang (Little Rascals) shorts. Several actors played Butch throughout the series' run, typically portraying a larger, older boy who enjoys tormenting the younger members of the gang.

Beyond these, numerous other characters named Butch exist across film and television, often adhering to similar archetypes: a hardened criminal, a working-class everyman, or someone with a rough exterior hiding a more complex interior.
